“Future Me” 2024 XPPen Global Drawing Contest
For the XPPen 2024 Contest, I was tasked to imagine my future. Usually when we wonder about what the future is going to be, we often picture a very silver, metalic, sometimes dystopian future, full with robots and androids. So I decided that, for my future, I want it to be brighter, sunny and full of life. I imagined me, my future wife and our cat, enjoying nature with our future daughter. I have my painting supplies with me, because we can't just use screens all the time. Oh, and jetpacks! In the future, we must have jetpacks.

Development
After some doodles in my sketchbook to get the idea, I did a very rough digital sketch and painted slightly just to get a feeling. Then, I did a full clean up with pencil for the line art. And after that, it was all about figuring out the colors and lighting!
